What is $BSTR?

Based Buster Coin isn’t just another memecoin designed for degenerate gamblers. It’s an asset that secures your place in the DRVN DAO (decentralized autonomous organization).

If this concept it new to you, that’s ok. You can think of a DAO as a member-owned company in which its members can opt in or out of the organization by simply holding the “governance token”.

Members can also increase their influence in the organization by holding a higher balance of the token. This weights your voting power when the DAO puts a proposal up to vote.

• Use of treasury funds for the acquisition of new cars for our tokenized collection, marketing and sponsorship campaigns, and grants/funding for community led projects

$BSTR: Under the Hood

It is an ERC20 token on the Base blockchain. Basically, it’s a cryptocurrency like any other, using the standard Ethereum token model.

Base is a layer 2 network built on Ethereum that offers blazing fast transaction speeds and miniscule transaction fees, known as “gas”. This allows us to cover all your transaction fees when using any of our applications. Meaning, using our apps will be as easy as any other app out there.

How to Buy $BSTR

I know, you’re totally sold and ready to climb aboard, but you don’t know where to begin. We go you, boo. Follow these simple instructions to get your hands on your first $BSTR tokens in 10 minutes or less.

When the DRVN/VHCLS app is released in the coming weeks you will be able to easily purchase $BSTR and tokenized vehicle shares with debit or credit card. But don’t wait! The first off the line will be the furthest ahead!

Get a wallet

This is a prerequisite for trading any cryptocurrency. If you’re new to crypto we highly recommend the Coinbase Smart Wallet. Otherwise feel free to use whatever web3 wallet you prefer.

Coinbase Smart Wallet is amazing because it is the most user-friendly wallet out there. No need to remember private keys or seed phrases. Just use your device’s default authentication like pin or biometrics.

To get started, click the button below, then hit the Create a Smart Wallet button on the following page and follow the instructions.

Once the DRVN/VHCLS app launches you’ll be able to easily connect your smart wallet and be up in running in seconds.

Top up your wallet

Next, you’ll need some ETH in your wallet to swap for $BSTR. ETH is the native token of the Ethereum network and is used to pay transaction fees, which on the Base network, will be mere pennies.

When in your Coinbase Smart Wallet hit the + Buy button on the left menu. This will open a prompt to enter the amount you want to buy. Make sure you have ETH selected and it’s on the Base network.

To change networks, click on ETH in the Buy row then use the dropdown in the top right to change the network to Base.

When you’re ready hit Continue to Coinbase > and a new tab will open where you will enter your payment details and complete your purchase.

If you already have a Coinbase account, you can also link it to your Smart Wallet and spend the assets you have in your account without transferring them over.

To do this click the settings cog icon in the top right and then select Smart Wallet Settings. In the next page click Connect next to Pay with Coinbase Balance, and follow the instructions.

That’s it! You are now ready to buy some $BSTR.

Swap for $BSTR on Uniswap

Alright, let’s do this! Head over to app.uniswap.org/swap.

Note: Once token trading is live we will update this article with a direct link to purchase $BSTR.

In the Buy module, click the Select token drop down. In the Search tokens field, first click the drop down on the right to switch it to the Base network. Then, copy and paste the $BSTR contract address found below.

Contract Address: TBA

You may see a warning pop up. This is normal for brand new tokens. Go ahead and click I understand and move on to the next step.

Now, enter the amount of ETH you want to swap for $BSTR in the Sell module. The amount of $BSTR you will receive will be calculated and displayed. Remember, buys are subject to a 2% tax, so the amount you will receive will be slightly lower than what’s displayed.

When you’re ready, click Swap and follow the prompts.

Drift Tax

This is how DRVN Labo and the DRVN DAO generates revenue for our operations, and capital for other activities.

Whenever anyone buys, sells, or transfers $BSTR tokens a small amount is shaved off and automatically deposited in a number of wallets.

50% goes to DRVN Labo operations. This covers vehicle acquisitions, overhead, car insurance, marketing, and of course, salaries.

15% goes back into the Uniswap liquidity pool to further stabalize the price of the token over time.

15% goes to the DRVN DAO Treasury for protocol management, and community-organized activations.

10% goes to the rewards wallet for incentives, contests, and giveaways for our community members.

10% goes to the Charity wallet for quarterly donations to causes and organizations selected by the DAO community.

Currently, the drift tax is set at:
2% on buys, 3% on sells, and 1% on transfers.

However, this can be adjusted by the DAO community.

$BSTR Gives Back

We believe that success is only truly achieved if it provides the ability to improve the world. That’s why charitable donations are baked into our operations from the very beginning.

Our charity wallet will be controlled by the DAO, and the community will vote once a quarter to deploy the funds collected to one or more charities.

By default, we plan to contribute to Paul Walker’s non-profits, Reach Out Worldwide and The Paul Walker Foundation. The community can then propose to divert some or all of the funds for the quarter to another pressing cause.

Is this legal?
Absolutely! Unless your particular region has restrictions on trading cryptocurrencies, this is open to everyone in the world for participation. The DRVN DAO is a DAO LLC registered in Wyoming.

If you are unsure about your local laws and regulations, we highly suggest you do your own research.

Does holding $BSTR make me a shareholder of DRVN Labo?
The DRVN DAO is a separate entity from DRVN Labo. As such, you will not have any equity or ownership in DRVN Labo. However, you will be a legally recognized member of the DRVN DAO LLC.

As the creators of the DRVN DAO, DRVN Labo is a majority member of the DAO. Over time the DAO will become further decentralized and majority member-controlled.

Will buying $BSTR make me rich?
We make absolutely no promises or claims of profit. Purchase $BSTR at your own risk. Only contribute what you can afford to lose. $BSTR is not intended to be a form of currency or to have any monetary value. The token is offered on Uniswap to facilitate free and open trading. The market alone will decide the value of the token.

That said, we are building for the long haul, so expect many ups and downs, and strap in for a wild ride.

Will $BSTR become easier to buy if I don’t want to learn how to use Uniswap?
Yes, the easiest way to buy $BSTR will be within the DRVN/VHCLS app once it launches in the coming weeks. However, in-app earning features may not be immediately available.

Do I have to buy $BSTR to become part of the DAO?
No. There are plenty of ways to earn $BSTR by participating in the community. These opportunities will be posted on our social accounts, within our Telegram and Discord communities, and inside the DRVN/VHCLS app.
