Buckle up! The race is on for the crypto markets to break all-time highs. There’s honestly nothing more exhilarating than the frenzied hype during the early rumblings of the bull market… Perhaps, with the exception of tossing your car sideways into a high-speed corner at the top of 5th gear. But for those of us with a risk tolerance somewhere between degen and death-wish, the bull market is excitement enough.

While your eyes were fixed to the BTC charts the Automotive Web3 community has been building. Here is your speedy recap of the developments over the past week.

DRVN is now the official newsletter partner of DR/VRS & Secret DR/VR Club

It is with great pleasure that I announce that DRVN Culture has partnered with both DR/VRS and Secret DR/VR Club to be their official newsletter and publication partner. Given the similarity in our names you’d think this was the plan from the start, but it’s merely a case of kismet that we’ve converged in such a complimentary way.

What does this mean for our readers? We now have a direct line of communication to get early alpha and announcements from our project partners, ensuring our subscribers are among the first to know when they drop important info. It also means we will be working with them to create original content featuring exclusive interviews with the founders, behind-the-scenes conversations with the team, and opportunities to collaborate with their community to publish guest posts and showcase their off-line automotive lifestyle.

Torque Drift 2 to Release v0.8

The standard bearer for AAA web3 motorsport games, Torque Drift 2 is about to get an upgrade!

Here is the word on the streets. In addition to a whole host of performance upgrades, there will be new cars and parts, improved tracks, and what everyone has been waiting for… Multiplayer mode.

Beyond that the details remain hidden, so I suggest following Torque Motorsport on X and joining their Discord server to get the full details as soon as they drop.

ApeCoin DAO Voting to Sponsor an F1 Team

Formula E High Voltage Opens Free Mint

Another title within the Animoca/Motorverse family is the Formula E High Voltage race team management game. This style of game has proven popular in the recent past, and this one carries with it the high-profile license of Formula E.

The game is not only free-to-play, but the NFTs required to get started are free-to-mint and completely gasless. When you sign up you will spin up a custodial wallet on the Flow network and receive 4 NFTs. Two drivers and 2 cars. Below is a screenshot of the team I minted.

From there you are ready to jump into the action. From what I can tell the free mint is a limited-time offer, so you might not want to sleep on this.

Blast Auto Club Mint Launches March 7th

The first automotive game on the Blast network is around the corner. BAC appears to be a videogame ecosystem with socialfi components, centered around car culture and nicely wrapped in a slick cyberpunk aesthetic.

The beta test is open now for waitlist members (which I am not) so I can’t provide any first-hand details about the gameplay. What I can say is that this project is worth keep an eye on. Projects on Blast are getting some serious views right now, due to the inherent reward mechanics of the network. So it could have some legs… err, wheels.

The mint opens on March 7th, with the NFTs going for 0.16ETH a pop. Good luck!
