Last week we buttered you up for the coming barrage of big updates on the horizon from DRVN Labo. This week we delivered a doozie. The impending reboot of the Based Buster Coin!

This is just an appetizer for what’s to come. We will be rolling out at least one big announcement every week over the next couple of months.

The Prodigal Buster Returns!

Back in April we launched Based Buster Coin, the governmeme token for the DRVN Labo ecosystem. Unfortunately, an unforeseen incompatibility between the token contract and the LP saw it stall out on the starting line.

Now, after a full rework and ample testing of the contract we are finally ready to announce that $BSTR is being rebooted! This token is an integral part of the DRVN formula and will tie together the projects, products, and community, with all the power of a DAO governance token, and the cultural significance of a memecoin.

Cosmic Royale Early Access Beta is Gonna be Bonkers

What if I told you that the most purchased, downloaded and played racing game in history wasn’t Gran Tourismo. It’s not Forza or even Grand Theft Auto. It is none other than Mario Kart.
(It’s also the most stress inducing.)

I’ll tell you, that maps with my experience. Sure, I’ve spent many solo hours playing GT. But when the crew is all together, Mario Kart was always the first and often only game we would play, until we lost complete track of time.

That’s why this play from Animoca Brands, and their partners Eden Games, Mocaverse and The Motorverse is possible the smartest move I have seen in web3 gaming since… ever.

Just announced days ago, Cosmic Royale takes everything we love about Mario Kart, adds in the battle royale game-mode, and smashes it with web3 IP, for a game that will appeal to the widest possible audience.

From what I can tell, Moca PFP holders can access the beta game now, with it opening to Moca ID holders on July 24th, which is when I will eagerly take it for a spin.

Torque Drift 2 v0.10 is Here!

This just in mere hours ago. The latest version of TD2 has arrived, along with a new track, cars and game modes!

Here is a quick breakdown of everything v0.10 has to offer. Check out their release notes for the full details.

• The update introduces a new track, Daikoku, a legendary JDM car culture destination.

• An events system is introduced, offering new events and challenges daily with various event types.

• Lead and Chase game modes are now available, where players can set scores, replicate leads, and earn drift achievements.

• Tuning & Performance Parts can now be adjusted in Torque Drift 2, allowing players to customize their cars.

• Engine swapping is introduced, with engines available in different rarities, offering wider access to tuning parameters.

• New cars, bodykits, and part categories like Bobble Heads and Engines are added in this update.

The Web3 Grand Prix Covering the Hungarian GP

F1 is set to hit the Hungaroring this weekend. You know what that means?! Solly and Puke will be slangin their special brand of web3 motorsport banter in their pre-race X space.

Whether you’re and Eastern hemispherian and tune in live, or need to catch the recording because you’re a Westerner still fast asleep (like me) when the show airs, the W3GP is always a good time.
