California Puts 42 Million Car Titles on the Avalanche Blockchain

In a major leap forward for crypto adoption, the CA DMV finally enters the 21st century with onchain car titles.

This move is likely to streamline the ever-painful experience of visiting the DMV to deal with vehicle registration. I wouldn’t expect this to completely streamline the whole ordeal, but every bit of efficiency helps.

To be honest, I think blockchain could make the DMV entirely obsolete. However, government departments never willingly innovate themselves out of existence, let alone even so much as shrink in size. So the best we can hope for is shorter wait times, and at best, no need to visit “the happiest place on earth” for basic registration needs.

But perhaps the biggest win will be the fact that ALL California drivers will have an app with a built in crypto wallet to manage their titles. Exposing the 39M residents to web3 for the first time.

Torque Squad Community Member Builds TS Hub Museum in Sandbox

Ferrari Dealerships Across Europe to Accept Crypto Payments

Step aside Lambo! Ferrari may find itself the supercar of choice for crypto millionaires looking to flex their gains.

Starting soon, Ferrari dealerships across Europe will begin accepting crypto payments for the purchase of their world-renowned vehicles. Word has it they are looking at expanding this practice to other markets by the end of the year.

W3GP IRL, LFG!

Web3 is a tight-knit community, and F1 followers are some of the most enthusiastic sports fans out there. This is what happens when the two worlds collide in real life.

Hosts of the Web3 Grand Prix show, Solly and Puke Rainbows, held their very first community event at Race Room in Malaysia. Together they competed in head-to-head sim racing battles, and deepened their online connections in the real world.

This is the type of thing I love to see and I pray more events like this begin to pop up world-wide. Hopefully, with the successful passing of the ApeCoin DAO proposal AIP-462: Creating the largest F1 community in WEB3 we have a lot more to look forward to!

W3GP is coming to Taiwan

Did you miss their first event in Malaysia? Me too. Well, their second IRL event is coming to Taiwan later this week. And guess what? I won’t make that one either. But I hope some of our Asian followers will.

We look forward to seeing the turnout… And maybe, just maybe, one day having the W3GP crew hop the pond for an event in the states.

Mercedes-Benz NXT AMG Factory Tour

In more community news, a handful of lucky Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons holders got to participate in a “money can’t buy” experience that is sure to make any automotive enthusiast envious.

Following the release of their second collection in the Icons series “The Era of Technology”, Mercedes-Benz NXT made good on their promise to offer benefits to their community that make being a holder an attractive proposition.

Last week, about a dozen members got the opportunity for a VIP tour of the AMG factory in Affalterbach, Germany. Check out the photos below to see what being active in the automotive web3 community can manifest.

With 5 collections yet to be released, there are sure to be plenty more opportunities to indulge in your love of the iconic tri-start brand.
