Onward, DRVRS!

Every day I see so much progress being made in this space. Sometimes it’s a major leap forward, like Wilder World releasing their long-awaited game to the public, and sometimes it’s a small step, like a new partnership that serves to revitalize a community.

But one things is for sure. We are moving onchain vehicle culture forward. And this week was full of positive momentum!

We’ve even checked off a few of those small steps this week ourselves, which always feels like a win.

DRVN Culture Report

We’re going flat out on multimedia content. Our newsletter and articles were only the beginning. In recent weeks we have begun venturing into video content, first focusing on live video.

This includes livestreams of my favorite web3 motorsport games such as Torque Drift 2, Cosmic Royale, Revv Racing, and Celeros, as well as highly competitive web3 sim racing.

But the cherry on top is our new live show that airs every Friday. DRVN Culture Report. This weekly broadcast will cover all the top news, updates, and alpha featured in the Daily DRVN newsletter. Additionally, we aim to line up an interview with influential people associated with projects highlighted in the latest issue.

Revv Racing Announces Summer Race-Off

Revv Racing may be one of the older titles in the Motorverse catalog, but it’s bringing a new wave of excitement to this hyped up automotive ecosystem!

Starting today, Revv Racing is kicking off their Summer Race-Off competition. This tournament pits various communities against one another to jockey for a place on the podium and earn some incredible prizes, totaling in the many thousands of dollars!

W3GP Holds their Second Live Event in Taiwan

Solly and Pukerainbow are once again showing us what IRL web community activations can look like. To me, it looks like a damn good time!

Hot on the heels of their first activation in Malaysia, and the successful passing of their Apecoin DAO proposal, W3GP put on another event for web3/F1 fans. This time in Taiwan.

The attendees got a chance to take on Solly, a former pro F3 driver in some sim racing action, and held a watch party of the Belgian GP. Jelly? I sure am 🥹

What happens when Grand Theft Auto goes full web3? You get gameplay that is wilder than you can possibly imagine.

Until now you could only gain access to Wilder World by requesting developer access directly from the studio. No longer!

Wilder World has moved into their Alpha phase, opening the game to everyone via the Epic Games store. Now’s your chance to dive into one of the most visually stunning, feature rich, and action packed games on the blockchain!

Wheels Arcade

Wiami is a huge place with a lot to explore. Sometimes you just want to race. That’s why Wilder Wheels offers the Wheels Arcade mode, where you can race wheel to wheel against other players, hell bent on laying down the fasts lap.

DR/VRS Partners with Hachi Mugen, Featuring His Lofi Hip Hop Playlist and Original Art

Our friends at DR/VRS have been cooking up something special for some time. Now, we finally get a whiff.

DR/VRS is an entertainment focused PFP project for the automotive crowd. Ranging from comic books to a streaming music website, and beyond. Now we are starting to see what’s been going on behind the scenes, as they announce a partnership with lofi artist and illustrator, Hachi Mugen.

The details are still murky, but expect to see more updates about their projects, DR/VRS Entertainment, Sunset Drive Radio, Butter Beach Speedway, and more.

Celeros Gets Two New Updates

Is life feeling a bit dull? Is your blood pressure too low? Might I suggest introducing some Celeros to your life. I promise, it’ll get the old BPM matching the RPM of a Farrari at redline.

This week Celeros has come out of the gates strong with some solid updates to the already exhilerating gameplay.

Ghost Racing

Hands down, one of the best ways to improve your lap time is by racing your ghost. A visual representation of your previous best lap. This feature allows you to have a real-time benchmark to out pace past you.

New Prototype Track Unveiled

To date, Celeros has only offered one track. Aero Bay. A beautiful seaside city scape that’s part Singapore and part Monaco.

But now, it’s time to tread some new ground (or air) with the preview of their prototype circuit, aptly named “Track 2”.

Players who test out this track will be able to earn TXR points towards their TX token airdrop. More details on this below.

New Quests

Alongside the new track are a slew of new quests, allowing you to accumulate additional TX points leading to the release of the XR token.

TX can be collected by playing the game or completing social media tasks.

Participate in Celeros Quests & the TXR Challenge

Players can amplify the excitement with the TXR Challenge. Leveraging their social questing system, players earn TX points (towards a $XR airdrop allocation) for downloading, playing, and ranking on the leaderboard.

Celeros is free to download on Steam, and participants can earn up to 4,300 TX just for playing, along with an additional 700 TX every day they come back and complete a lap.

I couldn’t recommend this game enough, and I look forward to showcasing it in my upcoming livestreams. For now, go collect that TX and enjoy the flight!
