RevHard Motors merges with DRVN Labo

“Evolution” isn’t just the ultimate incarnation of Mitsubishi’s Lancer platform. It’s also an in integral process for scaling business.

When DRVN Labo showed its first signs of traction we knew that an expert importer partner was non-negotiable. Like kismet, a connection to a Denver based JDM dealership owner with over a decade of experience materialized right before our eyes.

That dude was Josh Juhasz of RevHard Motors. Long story short, that intro led to him joining DRVN Labo as a founding partner.

Our shared passion and vision of what we are building has now led to this major step forward.

RevHard Motors has officially joined the DRVN Labo family of brands. This move will bring with it a few strategic changes within their model to align with our long-term trajectory.

Namely, RevHard will move away from brick and mortar dealership ops to double down on being the premier JDM broker — sourcing, importing, and delivering highly sought after JDM cars to new owners in the West.

They (now, we) will also facilitate alternative payment methods to streamline deal flow, by supporting cryptocurrency purchases.

Here is the official announcement released just earlier today.

Exciting News from Revhard Motors!

We are thrilled to announce that Revhard Motors is taking the next big step in our journey! After years of passion, dedication, and connecting with our amazing community, we’re evolving and expanding into something even more incredible.

Introducing DRVN Labo – a new chapter, a new vision, but with the same commitment to quality, performance, and customer service that you've come to love.

This evolution will build on our existing JDM importing services, while focusing more on community, offering members valuable opportunities, engaging content, and innovative products to fuel your automotive passions. This expansion brings with it two new sub-brands:

DRVN Culture - A media organization sharing the best that car culture (real-world & digital) has to offer.

DRVN/VHCLS - A platform that allows anyone to own fractional shares of some of the rarest JDM cars and historically significant vehicles in the world, while participating in and benefiting from their conservation and monetization.

Stay tuned as we roll out more updates on what you can expect from DRVN Labo! Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey with us. We can't wait to drive forward together!

One of the first actions we’re taking with this conglomeration is consolidating our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channels into RevHard Motors’ more established channels, boasting tens of thousands of followers.

This will help DRVN Labo and our family of projects take our first step in reaching the wider automotive enthusiast crowd.

Currently these channels are still under the RevHard name, but the rebranding will take full effect in the coming days.

Forget the Evo — Snag the forgotten (and extremely rare) VR-4 Spyder before they go extinct

I know I just said the Evo is one of the ultimate Mitsubishis. But have you met their answer to the Supra and Skyline?

The 3000GT VR-4 was a big bruting all-wheel drive touring car with a 320hp twin turbo 3 liter V6. Unlike its competition, this 90’s sports car’s lack of track domination (or track presence what-so-ever) never allowed it to ascend to the same legendary status.

But don’t let that fool you. These things have been well known to put HP in the quadruple digits to the ground. And its shark-like appearance is aging quite will.

Then, there is the fabled convertible hard top “Spyder” variant.

This rare gem just surfaced on Bring a Trailer, and if you didn’t know what you might be inclined to scroll past it.

However, few people know that Mitsubishi ran a campaign to buy back every single 3000GT VR-4 Spyder left in the wild.

And they very nearly succeeded! Only a few examples of this 90’s marvel still roam the streets.

What’s more, most of these were equipped with an uninspiring auto trans. But this one packs the drop top AND the 6 speed! Truly, a white whale (or red shark?) if I ever saw one.

The price is currently sitting at $15K, but I think a specimen like this is a steal anywhere below $30k.

If I had the cash handy, I’d already have my bid in!

VEXT hints at a PFP release for the motorsport community

Profile pic NFT projects are misunderstood and mocked outside of the web3 space. South Park didn’t do much to help… And to a degree, they sorta hit the nail on the head.

(It’s likely your JPG of a little green panda on a skateboard wasn’t a good investment)

Maybe that’s not what this whole PFP thing is about though?

PFPs are a ubiquitous part of online life. In web3 they convey a lot about your interests and online crew. Why shouldn’t sim racers and the online automotive community have a collection by which they can identify others of their tribe online?

(I know, there’s the Torque Squad, and DR/VRS, and Driverz World. But this community has some serious room to grow.)

VEXT, the web3 branch of the sim racing and real-world motorsport giant, Veloce Media just dropped a hint at a coming PFP project.

While this may be alpha, it may also be nothing. The only way to know for sure is to follow them closely… Or wait for us to report on it, I suppose.

Side Splitters for Tire Kickers - Based Buster Meme Contest Edition

Phase 1 of the Based Buster Coin pre-launch buzz-building campaign has concluded. Our community submitted more than 100 amazing memes featuring our mascot, Buster.

The effort and creativity that went into these was mind blowing. Some were entirely original creations, while others were pixel perfect remixes of existing memes.

As you’ll see from the winning selections, they run the gamut.

(If you’re among the new wave of readers from the RevHard community… We are launching a car culture memecoin. Or “governmeme” coin, as this token will be an integral part of the DRVN Labo brand experience. You can learn more at drvnvhcls.xyz)
