Nissan v Ferrari
Here at DRVN Labo, we love cars whether Japanese or Italian. As long as the look good, sound mean, and go fast we don’t discriminate.
To wet your whistle for what we’re building we thought this video from Carwow perfectly illustrates the caliber of cars we’re collecting, and the type of media we will soon be releasing.
(I mean, this simple race video racked up 1.2M views in just 2 days.)
What’s even more exciting than the race you’re about to watch is the having the opportunity to own a piece of Paul Walker’s 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena that will be given a full JDM treatment, influenced by the community of co-owners.
This transformation, and all the subsequent adventures of our 360 will be documented on our YouTube page, with the revenue the media generates being shared proportionately with the owners.
You can pre-order your share of this legendary ride and join the Founder’s Club (packed with mind-blowing perks and benefits) by purchasing the Titanium level Founder’s Club key.
Ok, on with the race!
Just beautiful JDM things…
Sometimes there is as a story that requires no intro, setup, or preface. If you love JDM cars, this is one of those times.
Enjoy.
Oracle Red Bull Racing Velocity Series gets Rekt
The leading F1 Championship team has been going hard in the web3 space, combining innovation, exclusivity, and art.
And like everything they do, they’re going all F’ing the way.
Last week they released a collection of 60 one-of-one art pieces in collaboration with generative artist Martin Grasser.
The first 10 collectors will even receive a physical art print signed by Grasser.
But getting one of these masterpieces isn’t as simple as clicking “Mint”.
To ensure this exclusive art only ends up in the hands of the biggest RB fans, first it requires holding a Velocity Pass 2.0. An innovative NFT that can be fractionally owned in the form of $SPEED tokens. However, only those who own 1 full $SPEED token/Velocity Pass will gain access to this collection. Currently, one of these passes will cost you approx. 0.09 ETH or $235.
Then, you would have to purchase an Interval Selection Pass from the Dutch Auction on ByBit. These sequentially numbered passes started at 7 ETH ($18,263) and decreased over time to 0.35 ETH ($915).
Currently 39 of the 60 passes have been minted.
From there, pass holders were able to claim any of Grasser’s 60 available pieces in the order in which they acquired their pass.
If you wanted to be one of the 21 remaining collectors, this endeavor would cost you $1,150 at current prices.
Or you could buy one of only two of his pieces listed on OpenSea for either 1 ETH or 1.75 ETH. That’s $2,600 or $4,550 respectively.
With this experience coming to a close, the next lap is coming in hot.
ORBR just announced the next Velocity Series Artist to be releasing an NFT art collection. The cofounder of the Rektguy collection, and renowned artist OSF.
This collab is perhaps the deepest OBRB has gotten into the onchain culture. And I for one am here for it.
(As a broke-ass spectator.)
Excited to announce I'll be dropping with @redbullracing this month.
Stay tuned 🏎️🏎️
